Skincare Routine that Must be Used During Breakout

Tried a new skincare but got pimples? This condition is often known as a breakout . In this condition the skin is usually irritated and acne appears. The causes can vary, but often this condition indicates a mismatch of the product content with your skin condition.

To overcome the breakout , you need to find out first the main cause. Is it caused by the use of inappropriate skincare products or is it caused by lifestyle. Lifestyles that can also cause breakouts are bad food habits, sleep patterns, or stress.

If the breakout is caused by a lifestyle, then try to live a healthy lifestyle. Suffice your body's fluid needs by drinking enough and regular water, at least 2 liters per day. Avoid oily and fatty foods. Switch to healthy, balanced and high-fiber foods. In addition to improving your lifestyle, you also need to use skincare to deal with breakouts .

Skincare Routine During Breakout

One of the causes of breakouts is the use of inappropriate skincare products. But keep in mind, breakouts are not a reason for you to stop using skincare products. Precisely in this condition, your skin needs the right skincare to deal with breakouts . So, what are the mandatory skincare when you breakout ?

1. Gentle cleanser

When experiencing a breakout, maintaining facial hygiene is something that must be done. Wash your face using a cleanser regularly at least 2 times a day, in the morning and at night.

The content in cleaning products also varies. Choosing the wrong product, can cause your breakout situation to get worse. We recommend that you choose a cleanser with a balanced pH, namely with a pH content of 5-6. Use a gentle cleanser without any scrub content , so as not to aggravate irritation of the facial skin. In addition, choose products that do not contain perfumes and dyes.

2. Gentle Moisturizer

The mandatory skincare that you need to use when you breakout is a moisturizer or moisturizer. Skin that is experiencing a breakout needs moisture so it doesn't dry out and make irritation worse. Moisturizer will keep your skin well hydrated.

Choose a moisturizer that has a gel, lotion, or cream texture. In addition, you should avoid choosing a moisturizer that contains anti-inflammatory ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, and ceramides . Also avoid moisturizers that contain perfumes, dyes, or essential oils.

3. Sunscreen

Sunlight can have a bad effect on the skin, especially if your facial skin is experiencing a breakout . For this reason, the next mandatory skincare that cannot be missed during a breakout is sunscreen . Using sunscreen will protect your skin from sun exposure.

Use a sunscreen with an SPF that is not too high. Sunscreen with SPF 30 content is enough to protect the skin from sun exposure. Choose one that has a light texture, according to your skin type, and avoid choosing a comedogenic sunscreen , containing dyes, or perfumes.

The three types of skincare above are basic skincare that must be used during breakouts. No need to rush to use various other types of skincare . Wait until the condition of your facial skin improves enough if you want to use other skincare , especially skincare with active ingredients.

In addition to using skincare , you need to reduce stress and get enough rest to help relieve breakouts. If the breakout does not subside, you are advised to consult a doctor to get the right treatment.
