Do you use eye cream to help fight those little crows feet and other fine lines and wrinkles? Most women do, and the whole point of applying them each and every day to is reduce and prevent these little lines around our eyes as well as the puffiness and dark circles we all have from an insufficient amount of “beauty sleep”.
So of course we need to make sure we are applying our eye cream correctly and not creating the very thing we are trying to fix by pulling on our delicate eye area!
1. Dot and tap.
This is the best method for applying any eye cream or serum. Dot the area around your eyes with the cream, no glopping it on or spreading it around with your fingers. Gently dot the area and then gently tap the cream/serum into your skin until it has been absorbed.
2. Use your ring finger.
When dotting and tapping, be sure to use your ring finger, as this will ensure you are using a gentle amount of pressure to the eye area.
3. Don’t put too much on.
Otherwise the cream might get into your eyes. Be careful, it’s very easy to get creams and serums into your eyes when dabbing onto your skin so closely to the inner rims. Start out with only a very small amount to avoid it going everywhere, and then gently apply more if needed.
